Larissa's Story

Hello! Thank you for taking the time to learn a little bit about me! 


I grew up in the Midwest and moved from Chicago to St. Petersburg in June of 2021. My background is primarily hospitality management which is ideal for my position here at Be Your Best Self & Thrive. Helping people create positive experiences is my cup of tea!


I am also a registered 200hr yoga teacher. My certification was earned at the Sangha Yoga Institute in Kalamazoo Michigan. For one year, I served as an apprentice to my teacher Kara Aubin who is also an Ayurvedic Practitioner and Ayurvedic Yoga Specialist. During that time, I assisted in her Basics Beginners class, giving demonstrations and hands-on adjustments. I also participated in her advanced yoga classes. 


For 2 years, I taught drop-in Hatha classes at the Sangha Yoga studio and had a regular weekly schedule at Yoga Shala in South Haven Michigan. When I moved to Chicago in 2015, I stopped practicing entirely so I’m excited to be back in a town that has such a vibrant, accessible yoga community!


My deepest passion is helping people. Whether it’s through yoga, meditation, or getting you the mental health care you need, my goal is to leave you feeling better than before we met.
