MENTAL HEALTH COUNSELOR INTERN

A Mental Health Professional Here For You

Pronouns: She / Her / Hers

Email: kate@bybsandthrive.com

I recently graduated from USF with a Masters in Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling with a focus in Marriage and Family Counseling. Along with this focus, I have experience working with Grief and Trauma. These areas are my counseling passion. I have seen clients learn to adapt to the experience of immense grief and believe there is a way to live peacefully and joyfully despite tremendous adversity.

I am currently pursuing certifications in Holistic Nutrition and Health and Wellness. I strongly believe that to address and concerns with mental health you have to address the whole person. That being said, I hope to soon be able to incorporate these certifications into my counseling practice. Counseling is a marathon, not a sprint, and I hope to be part of that journey for anyone who is willing and ready to do the work. We are all unique, which is why I believe that there are many ways to approach counseling. While I like to meet clients where they are mentally, spiritually, and emotionally, I will also push clients to explore themselves through mindfulness-based practices, nutrition and healthy lifestyle changes.
