A Caring Therapist That's Here For You

Pronouns: She / Her / Hers

Hello! I’m a recent graduate of Florida State University with a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree. I’m passionate about working with young men and women struggling with substance use and other unhelpful behavior patterns, trauma, and navigating change. I believe that everyone deserves to live a happy, fulfilling life. As your therapist I want to provide you with holistic tools that will help you navigate stress and life changes in a healthy way so that you can live the life that you deserve. Each person is unique, and thus different therapy techniques will work better for different people. At the start of our work together we will create a plan that will work best for you, and we will continue to re-evaluate this throughout our work together. I utilize a person-centered approach to help empower you to develop insight into your strengths, develop healthy skills to better respond to stressful situations, and set into motion a plan of action to help you achieve both your goals and your best self.

Through your work with me in therapy, you will work on self-acceptance, celebrating your successes, and learning safe ways to manage life’s stressors. In a world where the only thing that is constant is change, I want to help you learn how to adapt. Society tells us not to talk about our problems, and that uncomfortable feelings are bad. Many of society’s values lead us to feel ashamed and afraid to reach out to others. I offer a genuine, caring, listening ear to support you through this journey we call life and to help you discover ways that you can navigate through life safely and with joy.
